However, for Clive, a determined and talented chef, his journey from Tshwane South TVET College to the United States of America is a testament to the power of perseverance and the quality education provided by the college.
One of Clive's most cherished moments at Tshwane South TVET College was during his N6 level when he was selected as the executive chef for a cultural event held in June 2019. As the executive chef, Clive played a pivotal role in overseeing the event's preparations, ensuring the correct ingredients were ordered, planning the menu with his team, and following the proper cooking procedures. This experience not only showcased his culinary skills but also fostered teamwork and leadership abilities.
Tshwane South TVET College provided Clive with a solid foundation for his culinary career. The college offered hands-on experience under the guidance of renowned chefs, who not only enhanced his cooking skills but also emphasised the importance of exceptional guest service. Clive's journey was not without its hurdles. During his N4 level, he faced the setback of failing two modules. However, it was the unwavering support and mentorship from one of his lecturers that motivated him to persevere. Their words of wisdom resonated deeply with Clive: "Failure is part of the process; if you don't fail, you never tried, and always know that you can always better your best." This valuable advice became his driving force, propelling him towards his dreams and transforming them into reality.

Clive is currently residing in the United States of America. He has established himself as a talented chef. He is currently working as a chef de partie, utilising the skills and knowledge gained from Tshwane South TVET College to excel in his role. His experience working at esteemed establishments like the Kalahari Resort and Convention Centre and The Inn at Little Washington has further honed his expertise in the culinary arts.
